Text: 2Samuel 6

Objective: that the brethren understand the importance family and from who the blessings come from

Intro:
Define – blessings, source
Verses- family from the Lord – Ps. 127

Reality in having a blessed house:
1. There are prominent people going about their important business – vv.1-5
a. Learn from them and be informed but not focus on them
b. They have their way and means to celebrate
2. They also have and will have some serious troubles – vv. 6-9
a. They would not know what to do
b. They will need help
c. Other problems that simple godly family will not have to deal with – vv. 20-23
3. Blessings come to those that are willing to receive the Lord – vv. 10-12
a. Blessings at a short amount of time
b. People will hear of it – be blessed/excited about it

Message/conclusion:

Let us understand the importance of our family being in the Lord, trusting Him and receiving and using His blessing for His glory, doing His will
