Sydney mall attacker who killed six identifiedby police | BBC News

A knifeman who killed six people in a Sydney shoppingcentre before being shot dead has been identified by Australian police.

On Saturday, Joel Cauchi, 40, caused panic as heattacked shoppers with a long blade.

Five women and a man died, while several others,including a baby, were injured.

Authorities said the attack was most likely "related tothe mental health" of Mr Cauchi.
