The African elephant, also known as the African bush elephant or African savanna elephant, is the largest land mammal in the world. It can grow up to 24 feet long, 13 feet tall, and weigh up to 11 tons. African elephants are social herbivores with grey skin, and can live up to 70 years. They are found in a wide range of habitats, including savannas, grasslands, forests, deserts, swamps, and highlands in tropical and subtropical regions of Africa and Asia.
