SHINY HAPPY PEOPLE - FAKE ABUSE STORIES PART 5 - Emily Elizabeth Anderson - IBLP, Duggars, Gothard

This video is the last of a 5-part series exposing the misrepresentations and lies of a Shiny Happy People interviewee named Emily Elizabeth Anderson who continues to tour online podcasts making claims of sexual abuse against her father and Bill Gothard, former leader of the Institute in Basic Life Principles, the Christian sect that the Duggar family has followed for many years.

In this episode, Emily claims that Bill Gothard told her to write a letter of gratitude to her father for molesting her. Not only is this a completely outlandish claim, but it cannot be true because Emily had not told the tale that her father sexually abused her until after her interactions with Mr. Gothard were done. He was never informed of her claims of SA by her father either by her or by her mother.

The lure of online accolades, sympathy and a persona of being a victim who has overcome great adversity has overtaken Emily's life to the point that her entire identity is now wrapped up in the false abuse stories she has told for several years. And the internet public, podcast hosts, and other victims of the myth of repressed memories, as well as SA advocates continue to believe her claims without any investigation or scrutiny only further fueling the fire of slanderous and dishonest behavior.

This series exposes the truth and calls for her and others who have made false claims to begin to realize they need to come clean. And, that claiming abuse when it is not true belittles the real abuse real victims suffer at the hands of real perpetrators in addition to harming innocent people.
