Generally, when we think of animals that are escape artists the first image that pops to mind is cats, of course. This is mostly due to their ability to scrunch their body through tiny spaces and their almost thumb-esque paws.

Well, actually, not always. This video is a sure proof that dogs can be escape artists as well. The owners of this tiny Chihuahua pup have safely shot him in a room thinking he can’t get out. Oh boy, were they wrong!

As mentioned above, as part of their mystique, cats are able to squeeze themselves in to incredibly tight spaces. One reason is that cats instinctively look for small spaces because it allows them to hide and lurk their unassuming prey. They feel safer with the walls of tight spaces like boxes around them., almost invisible. The other part of that is because they can. Cats are like surly teens in that they sometimes do things just because the ability exists. Some research we read noted that cats can do this because they can shift their shoulders in a number of different directions. They can bend and twist their shoulders to shift through space as they need. Some of it is also their spines which are equally as flexible.

But amazingly, although not even closely related to the feline species, this little Chihuahua dog is an astounding escape artist! How did he do that!? Watch the video for yourselves, we do not want to spoil your experience by saying anything more!
