Remembering Robin Williams: Sunshine Saved My Life

Robin Williams was one of my idols; he’s on not just my Mt. Rushmore of comedians, but I hold him up there as an example of what a human being should be.

(And someone I should strive to emulate.)

I’m not much for karma, and maybe that’s because I’m selfish.

The idea that Robin Williams is gone, and—insert any one of ten thousand uninteresting, less-than-talented, mean-spirited celebrities (much less people) here—is proof to me that there no cosmic retribution is taking place in the universe.

But, life is what it is, and by that I mean life is far from fair.

We make do with what time we have on this spinning rock, remember the best of who has come before us, and try to forget Old Dogs, RV, and Father’s Day.

(Sorry Robin, I know you had bills to pay.)

I can’t think of anyone since him that’s been such a genuine bundle of talent.

I’m not sure there will be again in the future.
