Bermondsey, London.

Shot from interior of a steel protected car - a wages van. Car drives into area of wasteland where he is suddenly confronted by a group of rough types.

Manic footage of a group of "crooks" attempting to break into a steal a special thief proof car. They use brute force, welding equipment, crowbars, kicking smashing and ripping out parts of the engine - cool! One of the villains climbs into the car through the front windscreen and tries to start it with no luck. He attempts to find the right numbers on a combination lock whilst two of his cronies rip out an "anti lock".

Two officials of the security firm stand by with smug looks on their faces as the make believe bandits fail to start the car. They time them with a stopwatch. Film ends with men using a fire extinguisher to put out a blaze under the bonnet.

A great film to illustrate car theft or new inventions for anti theft security devices.

Note: security firm is "Auto-Securities Ltd." Nice piece of paperwork on file showing how idea for the item was hatched.
