Memphis police officer killed during shootout with teens

In Memphis, Tennessee, a tragic shootout resulted in the deaths of a police officer, Joseph McKinney, and an 18-year-old suspect.

Another officer was wounded but is in stable condition, while a third sustained a minor injury. The incident occurred during a response to a report of a suspicious vehicle.

When officers approached, they were fired upon by two suspects inside the vehicle. The suspects fled but were later apprehended.

One suspect died from injuries sustained during the exchange of gunfire.

Chief Cerelyn “C.J.” Davis expressed sorrow over the loss of life and emphasized the devastating impact of gun violence on families and communities, Fox News has reported.
