Murder in the Clouds 1934 is an American crime mystery movie dealing with aviation. The movie stars Lyle Talbot and Ann Dvorak, and is directed by D. Ross Lederman.

Bob, known as "three star," is the top pilot at Trans America Lines, renowned for his skills in the cockpit. When he's not piloting commercial flights, he's often found pushing the limits with daring aerobatics over the airfield. His romantic interest is Judy Wagner, a fellow employee who works as a stewardess for the airline. Recently, Judy's younger brother, Tom Wagner, has joined the ranks as a pilot for the same airline.

However, their routine is disrupted when Bob and Tom are assigned to a covert mission: transporting a scientist carrying a groundbreaking new high explosive formula to Washington. Unbeknownst to them, Jason, the secretary to Mr. Lackey, is actually a mole working for a foreign power. He learns of the mission and plots to sabotage it.

Before the flight, Bob is ambushed, leaving him unable to fly. In his place, another pilot named George steps up to take on the dangerous task. Tragically, the plane explodes mid-flight, setting off a frantic race between government agents, determined to retrieve the explosive formula, and the villains, intent on smuggling it out of the country.
