Aria

I wrote and created this song about the evening we lost Aria, a furry member of our family. She lay in our grass, with a stream right next to us as the sunset was a gorgeous orange beam cutting through the mountains down on us. The beauty was bitter sweet. Our amazing vet came to us so we didn’t have to move her and cause severe pain. She was surrounded by the whole family getting hugs and pets as we made fresh food we knew she loved and I hand fed her for the final time. We all got final kisses, and held her as she drifted away. Her heart literally went with final setting of the sun. I then carried her to the vets car and got to hold her one last time. Writing this song was very difficult.
