The Danger of Cost Plus Contracts

One of the best messages from the new Elon Musk book by Walter Isaacson is the problem of Cost Plus Contracts which is explored heavily. Its one of the biggest problems holding back manufacturing, and Elon Musk through Tesla and SpaceX has dared to break through those norms. No matter what anybody thinks about Elon Musk's politics, which is all over the map, his manufacturing techniques are lessons the world should be learning from.
