Hamas and the Palestinian Authority are the two power centres in Palestine's struggle for statehood. While Hamas prefers violent and Islamist methods, the PA has used diplomacy and talks. As Israel withdraws some its troops from southern Gaza, the conversation is slowly shifting to post-war reconstruction and politics. While the West is hoping that the PA will play a key role in the strip, Hamas has been vehemently calling for a seat at the table.
