In this the seventh and final part of the series from a recent road trip we took to southern Wyoming, from the Forgotten Ames Brothers Pyramid in the middle of nowhere, to Arrowhead Hunting near Medicine Bow National Forest, to our visit at the Grand Encampment Museum. This time we make it back (during the day light) to the eerie Ames Brothers Pyramid located in southeastern Albany County, Wyoming. About 29 miles west of Cheyenne. Completed in 1882 at a cost of $65,000, as a tribute to two corrupt crony capitalist brothers, Oakes and Oliver Ames. A 60-foot high (60-foot square) granite pyramid was built by the Union Pacific Railroad. Built by, wouldn't ya know it, a well known Freemason. It stands on the highest elevation (8,247 feet) of the original transcontinental railroad route. And it has some dark secrets you might say!
