Ok so 2 things here before anyone comes for me.

"I normally don’t pick jokes where someone’s ethnicity is the crux of the joke, but I thought since he’s actually quite clever it’s not really making fun of him. And that one diabolical line in there, I decided that the lawyer is black and that’s why the Polish man takes him using that word in stride. Because otherwise I’m wildly uncomfy,. Yes I’m sure this is an old joke and someone will tell me anyway,
But I chose it mostly because it reminded me of one of the girls from Poland that were my housemates one summer in Ireland. It was one of those helpx gigs and we’d help out at the restaurant a few hours a day in exchange for room and board. And every time we’d go to roll silverware she’d say “I will polish the silverware. Because I am Polish.” And somehow it was funnier every time she said it.i hope she’s doing fabulously wherever she is."
