LOW PITCHED CHIMES! Schindler Hydraulic Elevator @ Wegmans - Williamsville, New York

Recorded on 4/8/24. This was another high-priority elevator I wanted to check out while in Buffalo last month. Most of the videos from this trip are going live in 2025. However, I couldn't wait until 2025 to share my first-ever ride on a Schindler elevator with the rare low-pitched chimes. I ended up traveling six hours away from home to ride one of these, but I was incredibly happy to finally ride one of these! These elevators are from 2002. One of the elevators was broken, but thankfully, it was the one without chimes. If the elevator with the working low-pitched chimes were the elevator that was broken, this would have been a disappointing visit. Schindler discontinued the chime for better ADA compliance for the visually impaired who rely on chimes to know what direction the elevator is going in. Many elevators have had their low-pitched chimes replaced with high-pitched chimes. Still, I am very happy to see the low-pitched chimes live on with this elevator. Enjoy!
