Alipay, China's largest digital payment platform, has an integrated individual CO2 footprint tracker that monitors users' behavior and purchases in order to "change people's everyday behavior towards a low-carbon lifestyle".

Users receive "green energy points" if they "integrate a number of low-carbon activities into their everyday life", e.g. "cycling to work, working paperless and buying sustainable products".
