Warrentless Arrest of Rachel Bennett

Rachel was arrested last week over Easter without a warrant by deputy Wilson of the Laramie Sheriff's Department and David Inman of the Cheyenne PD - you know, "Protecting the Myth" guys.

Her Ex, Matt Bennett, broke a protection order by saying he was coming over to Rachel's house. Rachel responded by saying she would protect herself - and then Matt Bennett used that as an excuse to have her held for almost 74 hours in the county jail. Over Easter, no less.

This is an aftermath of a dirty trial presided over by Steve Sharpe in Cheyenne - he pulled every trick he could to rule against Rachel, even to the point of allowing fraudulently gained financial evidence to be admitted. This is the topic of a current lawsuit between Rachel and her Ex's attorney, Monique Ojeda and Blue Credit Union. Ojeda presented herself as Rachel's attorney to get at her financial records.

Which begs the question why Steve Sharpe pulled out all the stops to protect Matt Bennett? A great friend of the Bennett family? Some have commented on the resemblance between the two, and considering the "Honorable" Steven Sharpe lives half a block from where Matt was sired, could it be a hidden baby-daddy protecting a family secret? A DNA test would clear it all up, Steve.
