Police conducting retrieval of WWII explosives in Allen Park neighborhood

The Michigan State Police bomb squad is assisting Allen Park police with retrieval of WWII ordnance, or explosives. The retrieval will occur in the 14000 block of Dasher. Homes have been evacuated for it.  MSP reminds people that with the passing of WWII veterans, family members find old war memorabilia, including explosives. If a situation like that occurs, do not move them, police say. Call 911.
