Biden blasts Arizona Supreme Court abortion ruling

President Joe Biden strongly criticized the Arizona Supreme Court’s decision to uphold an 1864 law severely restricting abortion in the state, allowing exceptions only in cases where the mother’s life is immediately threatened.

Biden condemned the ruling, stating it poses a significant threat to women’s health and autonomy, particularly in cases of rape, incest, and health risks.

Vice President Kamala Harris squarely blamed former President Donald Trump for the regressive law, linking it to his anti-abortion stance and efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade.

The ruling comes amidst efforts by reproductive rights advocates to place abortion rights on the ballot in November, the Washington Examiner has reported.
