The mighty Coltsfoot is popping up all over here in Vermont now that the snow is melting!

Most people think it's just another weed or they confuse it with dandelion, but Coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara) has it's own benefits and should not be confused with any other herb.

Traditionally, it was used to treat many respiratory issues such as asthma, bronchitis and cough. Today, it's more commonly used as an external salve for wounds, bug bites, stings and general skin inflammation.
