Shooting suspect in custody after police chase in KCMO

A shooting suspect is in custody after a police chase late Friday morning. At 10:15 a.m., Kansas City police officers were called to a shooting in the 2000 block of E. 30th Street. When officers arrived, they found a shooting victim, who was then taken to a local hospital in critical condition. KCPD said officers saw the suspect fleeing the scene in a vehicle and pursued. They caught him after a short foot chase.
