Smoke on the Water represents obfuscation, all the Lies and Problems created by the Hands of Man; while, A Fire in the Sky represents us Seeking to be Cleansed from the Sins of the Land by the Fire in God's Aether, which is Christ Consciousness within us...

And in the song, Deep Purple (representing the Color of the Third Eye Chakra, or Pineal Gland) is telling us that as they went to record a Pivotal Album for them, which turned out to be one of the Best Albums ever, Machine Head, they ran into constant Road Blocks and Distractions, but instead of Bitching, Moaning and Complaining about all the Problems they Discovered on the Lake Geneva Shoreline, they kept their FAITH that somehow this album was going to be made and that it would be Great; and they were REWARDED thru their Faith with an ability to make the Album (their biggest Selling Album ever), for the Circumstances that led to the writing of the song, Smoke on the Water (their biggest Single ever), and for all of the Challenges that brought the Band even Closer together in Purpose than they had ever been...
