The Building Of Dana Point Harbor

In the 1940s, Congress identified the need to create “Safe Harbors” along the California Coast. In 1961, The State of California granted, via Dana Point Tidelands Trust, the area that would eventually become our “Dana Point Harbor” to the County of Orange. This video is a collection of old home videos knitted together. In addition, the last chapter was produced in conjunction with the Army Corps of Engineers, which had a significant role in the construction of our Harbor.
