Salvation can extend to the body and the spirit. We have discussed salvation of the soul where whosoever believeth in Jesus as the risen Lord and confess it shall be saved. However, the soul of one can be saved but sick in body (3 John 1:2) - so the salvation of the body is explained as John noted that you may prosper and be in good health (body) as thy soul prospereth. This the salvation of the body. the salvation of the spirit is when we are joined unto the Lord and we become one spirit with Christ. Here, there is unity of purpose (we have the mind of Christ). We can hear God without the impurities of fear, anxiety, worries etc clogging our spirit and soul. Noteworthy is that we all grow into these levels of salvation (body and soul) by growing in the knowledge of God and letting the word become flesh (become part of us).
