Babbitt Pour 2024 Part Four

I'm bringing you along on my biggest babbitt pour since I left the shipyards back in 1994. The two bearings are from a work boat and supply support for a five-inch propeller shaft, which was re-machined to new custom diameters.
The Babbitt material is ASTM B-23 Grade 1 Babbitt
Melting point solidus 223C 433F
Melting point Liquidus 371C 700F
Pouring temp 441C 825F
Part Four, I continue the procedure that worked well on the lower halves, as I pour the upper halves completing the babbitt pouring process needed for the line boring in my next step in my self-aliening bearing project.
