4/8/24 West Perry SB COW meeting

New middle school math and science curriculum resources were showcased by the teachers running the pilot classrooms. Additionally, the board had the opportunity to review the new elementary reading literacy resource set. Policy 101 was reviewed (wording already approved via the recent Comprehensive Plan) with intent to present for 1st reading on 4/15/24. WP policies 702 and 913 were discussed w/ intent to add a policy 915 (similar to South Middleton SD's 915). CPACTC resolution reviewed with intent to approve at the 4/15 meeting. Food service FTPs were discussed with intent to approve at 4/15 mtg. Discussion was held regarding school start times versus transportation costs and issues. Additionally, a short discussion was held regarding the school board candidates who applied for appointment. That vote will occur at the 4/15 meeting.
