Eclipse 2024: Hindsight and Retrospect

It's easy to say or think "Hindsight is 20-20", but to actually understand from one's mistakes, it takes active retrospect. It can be difficult to admit if you've been wrong or reacted hastily based on false information designed to generate ad revenue via clicks, or to spark fear to sell products to a more susceptible audience. Whereas lying to oneself or others can be far easier, although no one profits or gains from superficial fluff aside from the one holding the shears. Many years ago, I myself had fallen victim to my own emotions and misplaced trust into people presenting information, until I began to notice inconsistences in the information presented. Upon further independent research, I realized I was being duped, and all the constant advertising sprinkled throughout the mediums used finally made sense. That saying is true: "What's always popular might not be what's right; What's right might not always be popular.".
