What is the gospel of salvation for today?

The gospel of salvation today is what the apostle Paul called "the gospel of Christ," which briefly stated says: "Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, that he was buried and that he rose again the third day, according to the scriptures...believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved...." (1 Cor 15:3,4; Acts 16:31)
