Creating an angled isometric hex grid (Civ-style) in Godot 4 vs 3

This video shows my attempt to create an angled isometric hexagonal map for a HoMM-inspired game. I couldn't get the result I wanted in Godot 4, so I also installed Godot 3 to see if it can do it better.
