‘Real threat’: US presidential long-shot RFK Jr alarms Democrats

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., armed with a well-known political surname, poses a significant challenge to President Joe Biden’s reelection bid.

Despite being an environmental lawyer Kennedy’s wildcard candidacy has garnered double-digit support, potentially siphoning votes away from Biden, particularly among independents and younger voters.

Democrats, wary of past elections where third-party candidates influenced outcomes, are concerned about Kennedy’s impact, especially in key swing states.

Democrats have intensified efforts to undermine Kennedy’s campaign, but his persistence and appeal to certain demographics continue to pose challenges, the AFP has reported.
