Hamas official denies reports of truce talks progress

A Hamas official told Reuters on Monday (April 8) that no progress was made at a new round of Gaza ceasefire talks in Cairo also attended by delegations from Israel, Qatar and the United States, after an Egyptian state-affiliated news channel quoted a senior government source as saying all parties have agreed on the basic points under discussion.
