The rope swing is considered to be one of the easiest, cheapest and endearing pieces of playground equipment. Rope swings seem like the ultimate setup for fun, and for a hilarious display of failure. The swing is made by using a single length of rope and attaching one end of a rope to a tree branch and tying a large knot in the other end to sit or stand on.

This comical footage shows the failed attempt at rope swinging of a guy going in for the classic big summer rope swing, but he just can’t hold on to it for long enough! The main key that people happen to forget is that upper body strength is most important when it comes down to rope swinging. This guy unfortunately happens to be lacking in that field.
