Hollywood is NOT HIRING and That's GREAT News For Entertainment!

Disney CEO Bob Iger is emboldened after his victory with shareholders who gave him a vote of confidence recently, so much so that he is doubling down on the ideology that is responsible for the company being susceptible to a takeover in the first place. Picking a fight with the term "woke" wouldn't be of the highest priority, but Iger is the captain of the ship and his happens to be the Titanic with mouse ears.

The failure of Disney has had ripples throughout the industry. It paints all of entertainment due to it's leadership position and as such, where it goes, most of the business follows. As entertainment has obviously undergone a shift, post-strike, the employees who brought it to it's knees are starting to feel the consequences of their actions. The Writer's Guild of America members are feeling the pinch of fewer pilots and writer's jobs appearing for new and up-and-coming "talent." They squandered all their opportunities afforded to them while the world was told to stay at home and now we are supposed to feel sorry for their awful output? Yeah, that's not how it works.

The Hollywood Depression is a much needed contraction. Talentless hacks and diversity hires are getting trimmed and while it might be the beginning of a few lean years, the other side of this downturn in business is only going to make for a better product when it's all said and done.
