Vietnam-China comparisons and my trip to Vietnam

People often compare Vietnam to China and call Vietnam “the new China.” I recently visited the ASEAN country. I climbed mountains, rode on motorbikes, visited temples, and talked to local people. I discovered that Vietnam is quite different from China despite many similarities. Here is my insight into the challenges and potentials of this socialist country in Southeast Asia and my first encounter with the Vietnamese people and culture.
