Archaeological Discoveries:
In 2010, Egypt’s leading archaeologist, Zahi Hawass, revealed a significant find. Newly discovered tombs, more than 4,000 years old, were unearthed near the Giza pyramids. These tombs belonged to individuals who worked on the Great Pyramids of Giza.

The 9-foot-deep shafts contained dozens of skeletons of pyramid builders. These workers were perfectly preserved by dry sand, along with jars of beer and bread for the afterlife.

Importantly, these discoveries contradict the myth that the pyramid builders were slaves. Instead, they provide evidence that the workers were paid laborers.
