- According to a statement by Biden’s campaign the US president and his party ended March with 192 million dollars cash on hand, the most ever amassed for a Democrat at this point in the calendar. That’s more than double the 93.1 million dollars that Trump and the Republican Party said they had at the end of last month. Biden has raised more than 422 million dollars since launching his re-election bid last April. Meanwhile, Trump battled through an expensive primary season.

- In a Statement marking the six months since Hamas's October 7th attack which launched the ongoing war in Gaza. Israel’s prime minister vowed that Israel would achieve complete victory over Hamas and called for unity among Israel's citizens. Netanyahu reiterated his commitment to the goals of the war, which he said are to return all our hostages, to complete the elimination of Hamas in the entire Gaza Strip including Rafah, and to ensure Gaza will no longer constitute a threat to Israel."

- Populist Peter Pellegrini has been elected president of Slovakia, defeated the pro-Western candidate Ivan Korčok, with 53% of the vote. Slovakia had been one of Ukraine’s staunchest allies before their PM put forward a pledge to halt supplies of Slovak Army military stocks to Kyiv. With Mr Pellegrini replacing Mrs Caputova, Ukraine has now definitively lost a voice of support in an EU and Nato capital.
