In this lecture we discuss two contrasting epistemological approaches to the acquisition of knowledge. This lecture provides an overview of the most debated approaches to knowledge in history. Empiricism vs. Rationalism.

We each philosophical approach, then discuss the strengths of each (i.e., When to use empiricism and when to use rationalism.)

We circle into a discussion on the scientific method, as a branch of empiricism. We discuss how to properly use the scientific method, as well as how the scientific method has been mis implemented. Lastly, we cover some common problems in science.
