A society's Foundation Myth defines:
1) The origin and structure of the world and the society around it. 2) It defines ultimate good and evil, and from those definitions are derived the values of those justifying the holding of power. 3) It determines what is held sacred in that society.
WW2 is now the starting point of the Western foundation myth with the ultimate evil being Nazism and the ultimate good being the opposing of Nazism. Hence:
