The unintended consequence of school choice is that public schools actually improve when they have to compete. There is new data in a new PragerU video, but there is also a historical precedent. In 1680 when Charles II created Royal Societies, his intention was to replace failing local schools. What ended up happening was those schools quickly improved on their own when the children of nobility started to leave school for Royal Societies.
