The U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services formally swears in 95 year old Isidore “Teddy” Bertone at his home on Staten Island on Aug 25, 2020. This resulted after he wrote a letter to the editor of the Staten Island Advance because his congressman Max Rose did not help the WWII veteran get his certificate of citizenship. Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis reached out to the White House and four days later he signed his certificate and was formally sworn in as a US Citizen.
