The knee lock, it is a classic of wedding fail videos. Someone locks their knees while standing for a while and then ends up fainting or falling over.

The outdoor wedding is going fine, but just off to the right we can see problems brewing…

If you have ever been involved in a wedding, or really any engagement that requires you to stand in one place for quite a while, then you are familiar with the suggested rule, “Don’t lock your knees!” There is solid reasoning for this, many people who lock their knees at events like this end up fainting or falling over. Thus, they cause more of a commotion and pull focus from the purpose of the event, generally the wedding. We did some research and one of the reports we read says that the reason people faint is decreased blood flow to the brain. Locking your knees can help reduce blood flow. This is because the blood will pool in your legs and has a harder time getting back up to the brain.
