Thus, they cause more of a commotion and pull focus from the purpose of the event, generally the wedding. We did some research and one of the reports we read says that the reason people faint is decreased blood flow to the brain. Locking your knees can help reduce blood flow. This is because the blood will pool in your legs and has a harder time getting back up to the brain.
