Ingredients:
250g ground beef
1 cup shredded cabbage
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, grated
2 green onions, finely chopped
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Gyoza wrappers
Vegetable oil, for frying
Dipping sauce (soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili oil)
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, shredded cabbage, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
To assemble the gyoza, place a small spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of a gyoza wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold it in half and pinch the edges to seal. Pleat the edge of the wrapper to create a decorative pattern if desired. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, arrange the gyoza in a single layer in the skillet, making sure they are not touching each other. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the bottoms are golden brown.
Carefully add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover with a lid. Allow the gyoza to steam for 5-6 minutes, or until the water has evaporated and the wrappers are translucent.
Remove the lid and continue cooking for another 1-2 minutes, or until the bottoms are crisp and golden brown.
Serve the beef gyoza hot with dipping sauce on the side. Enjoy!
