The briefing on the progress of the special military operation on the 7th of April 2024 by Colonel AC. Oguntoye are as follows:

Continued Military Operations: The Russian Armed Forces are persistently continuing the special military operation.

Engagements in Kupyansk Direction: Fire defeats were inflicted on Ukrainian forces' formations in the Kupyansk direction, with successful repulsion of counterattacks, leading to significant enemy losses including troops, tanks, and artillery systems.

Donetsk Direction Actions: The Southern Group of Forces secured more advantageous positions and repelled multiple counterattacks by Ukrainian brigades in the Donetsk direction, resulting in substantial enemy casualties, vehicle losses, and the neutralization of various artillery systems.

Advances in Avdeyevka Direction: In the Avdeyevka direction, the Central Group of Forces improved frontline situations, repelled numerous Ukrainian counterattacks, and inflicted heavy losses on enemy troops and equipment.

Tactical Improvements in South Donetsk Direction: Actions by the Eastern Group of Forces improved tactical positions and effectively engaged enemy formations, repelling attacks and destroying significant enemy hardware.

Kherson Direction Engagement: The Dnepr Group of Forces executed effective fire strikes on Ukrainian mechanised brigades and territorial defense units, leading to enemy personnel and equipment losses.

Counter-Battery Warfare and Destruction of Equipment: Extensive counter-battery warfare led to the destruction of multiple enemy artillery systems, MRLS, and radar stations, highlighting effective targeting of enemy’s artillery capabilities.

Destruction of Ammunition Depots and Electronic Warfare Stations: The destruction of ammunition depots, electronic warfare stations, and key military hardware underlines the strategic focus on crippling the enemy's logistical and electronic warfare capabilities.

Air Defence Successes: Russian air defence systems successfully shot down a large number of Ukrainian UAVs and intercepted several HIMARS and Uragan MLRS projectiles, demonstrating robust air defence capabilities.

Total Losses Since the Beginning of Operations: Significant Ukrainian military assets have been destroyed since the start of the operation, including aircraft, helicopters, UAVs, tanks, and artillery units, reflecting the extensive scale of the conflict.
