US officials on high alert after Iran attacks predicted as 'virtually inevitable'

Attacks from within Iran are “virtually inevitable” after senior US officials have confirmed they are on high alert, says Australian Strategic Defence Policy Institute’s Malcolm Davis.

“I would be absolutely staggered if Iran backed off at this point,” Mr Davis told Sky News Australia.

“What we could see is multiple types of attacks by Iran.

“They could use long-range ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, drones fired from their territory against Israel.
