• Environmental health watchdogs had 40 bandages from 18 different brands tested for fluorine, and detectable levels were found in 26 of them.

Consumer watchdog blog Mamavation and Environmental Health News used an EPA-certified lab to look for PFAS chemicals in the absorbent pads and adhesive flaps of bandages sold at major retailers, including CVS, Walmart, Rite Aid, Target, and Amazon.

• The bandages that contain high levels of fluorine above 100 parts per million include brands Band-Aid, Care Science, Curad, CVS Health, Equate, First Honey, Rite Aid brand, Solimo (Amazon brand), and Up & Up, Target’s brand.

• 65 percent of bandages contained fluorine, a necessary component of PFAS

• Dr Linda Birnbaum, a toxicologist and former head of the National Toxicology Program who co-led the lab testing, said the fact that risky chemicals come in direct contact with open wounds was 'troubling'. 

PFAS chemicals can easily enter the bloodstream after a person drinks water or eats food laced with them. Once in the bloodstream, PFAS can lodge themselves within healthy tissue where it can begin to damage the immune system, the liver, the kidneys, and other organs.

The criminal Mark A. Milley was demoted to the rank of private and given a dishonorable discharge before a noose was slipped over his head Friday morning. His medals and ribbons, many of which were unearned and self-awarded, were rescinded.
Like all GITMO detainees scheduled to hang, Milley was offered a last breakfast, which he declined. He said his accomplishments as a patriotic officer had filled his stomach and soul with enough sustenance for a lifetime. However, he requested a safety razor to shave his stubbled face.
At 10:00 a.m., three MPs escorted him from medical, where he had a pre-execution physical, to the gallows where Adm. Crandall stood among a group of officers standing for their respective Armed Forces branch, and an unnamed civilian dressed in a blue suit with a red tie.
The admiral stayed silent until Milley reached the rope.
“Having been found guilty of treason, detainee Mark Milley, you have been sentenced to death to be carried out promptly. We have a chaplain if you want Last Rites. You’re entitled to give a final statement,” the admiral said.
“I will say something: I will never renounce President Biden, the only commander in chief. I have served him and this nation with honor, distinction, and pride. What’s happening here now, what’s been happening, is perverted injustice. You cannot decide what is and is not constitutional, and your kangaroo courts injure this country. I don’t fear death; I’ve never feared it, a fact I’ve proven time and time again. This is murder, plain and simple. If you had balls, any of you, you’d face me in mortal combat—hand-to-hand, knife, or a rifle. But you’re a coward, all cowards, and when your time comes, you’ll die a coward,” Milley said.
As the hangman started placing a sack over Milley’s head, Milley protested: “No, I want you, Del, to look in my eyes.”
“Your choice,” the admiral said.
Before Milley dropped, he blurted a surprising sentence: “Ukraine is the future.”
He was pronounced dead at 11:03 a.m., October 13.
