Jews & Christians CANNOT deny Muhammad's Prophethood ﷺ #shorts
Answers to the 5 Most Common Responses from Jews and Christians in the comments to this video:
Claim 1: "All this video shows is the Jews, Christians, and Muslims follow evil men who do evil acts and utter false prophecies."
Answer: Muslims do not claim that Muhammad ﷺ or other past prophets did evil acts or uttered false prophecies. In fact they hold the opposite position. The point made in the video concerns consistency. More specifically, the Bible claims that past prophets did evil acts, and the Bible puts forth purported prophecies which are widely considered problematic or false by academics. At the same time, Jewish and Christian believers in the Bible claim that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was not a prophet because he did evil acts and set forth what are claimed to be false prophecies. Such a stance is logically contradictory and inconsistent.
Claim 2: "In the Bible evil acts of the prophets are condemned, but in Islam the evil acts of Muhammad ﷺ are justified."
Answer: People who make this argument generally consider fighting wars of conquest and harsh punishments for blasphemy and extramarital sex to be evil, at least when they are attributed to Muhammad ﷺ. Yet these same things are attributed to Moses and Joshua, and are endorsed by God in the Bible as good rather than evil.
Claim 3: "Many of the figures mentioned in the video – like Solomon and Lot - are not prophets, in Judaism and Christianity, they are only prophets in Islam."
Answer. Solomon is not only considered a Prophet in Islam. He is considered a prophet in Judaism https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/list-of-jewish-prophets. Moreover, he is at least a prophet-like figure in Christianity. Thus, he is traditionally held to be the divinely-inspired author of three books of the Christian New Testament; namely, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Songs. Also, even in Judaism and Christianity Lot is a special prophet -like figure who God communicates with through angels (see Genesis 18-19).
Claim 4: "All Prophets are Israelite."
Answer: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are not Israelite but are considered Prophets. Also, although Balaam is considered to be a problematic figure, he is also considered to be a non-Israelite prophet. https://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/balaam-the-prophet/
Claim 5: "No Prophets after Jesus."
Answer: Prophecy, in a general sense, consists in receiving divine revelation which establishes theological and moral doctrine. According to Christians, the New Testament is based on revelations given to Jesus’s apostles after his death. Hence, there are countless revelations to apostles like Paul and John. Christians hold that divine revelation, underlying New Testament texts, continued on for well over 50 years after Jesus’s death. The New Testament also promises that regular Christians will be given the ongoing gift to Prophesy with the aid of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12-14).
So, the challenge to Jews and Christians still stands.
