v.62 Live 06-04-2024 || Is there holy anger? Get rid of anger, and filthy communications.

What a session. We went deep into Col 3:8 and looked at those things which we are advised to put off. Anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication must be avoided. Anger is a spirit, it opens the door for malice, blasphemy and filthy communication. I cleared the air about the term "holy anger" or "righteous anger" and I said that the term is not appropriate for a child of God without undermining anyone or people who has used them. I noted that what the people who use it might imply is actually love overflow. We learnt previously on our podcast that love does not rejoice in evil. So when you see Jesus chase the money changers in the synagogue, it is not a sign of anger but love. When a man of God rebukes an evil man, it is not anger, it is love. When a father or mother shuns a child for stealing or immorality, it is not anger issue, it is love. The evil one knows most people don't take words seriously so they accept the quality called "holy anger" until it starts working against righteousness (James 1: 20) Anger works against righteousness. You don't need anger to deal with the satan, you need authority. We need to also put off blasphemy. When God is working do not give the credit to the devil who might just be sitting at the fence doing nothing. This is blasphemy to attribute God's work to the devil. This is a trap the devil has set for us all and we must be wise enough to avoid it. Focus on doing good and do not pull down another man of God for any logical reason.
