Michael Fish's NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast

Most of us should have a beauty of a day today with the exception of some folks near Lake Michigan. We'll have plenty of sun and highs in the 50s. With SSW winds.....it may be cooler near the lake at times. Clouds will be on the increase on Wednesday night with a cool front sliding through the area. There's a slight chance of a sprinkle or flurry as it passes, but most of us shouldn't have much of an impact. Lows will bottom out in the low-30s. Thursday, that front will be passing to our south in the morning. Again, if there's a stray morning sprinkle or flurry, don't be surprised, but most of us for most of the day will stay dry.  Highs should top out in the mid-40s behind the front. Friday, there's a slight chance of some precipitation, but that won't be the main system we're watching. Highs will top out in the upper-40s. Friday night going into Saturday, a system will be swinging on through. This may bring some rain or snow in spots, but it's still a little early to make any call on who would see what. Also, the weekend is looking quite cool for this time of year with highs only in the 30s.
