A viewer asked me to compare the PSA JAKL to the Brownells BRN-180. So, we take a look at both, compare them and I decide if I could only have one - which one would it be?

  • Hmmm... Tuff choice, but great comparison...

  • 16in jakl upper has been running flawlessly for me suppressed and unsuppressed. I've got the gas tuned right in the sweet spot where I don't have to change anything when using the suppressor or not. I did notice some mags are tight on a newer billet lower, but seat smoothly on older forged lowers. Jakl is my new favorite.

  • I'd prefer the jakl.. it's a better looking rifle but I'd have to replace that tail hook butt stock..

  • Thanks for the comparison as they are both available in my favorite round chambering 300 Blackout, now I have a better understanding of the differences.

  • Not sure about wanting either of these in this caliber. But really looking forward to the reviews of the 308 Jakl.

  • think I'd go with the PSA, I really like that hybrid bolt design, seems like it will have better reliability and longevity.

  • You said the BRN180 lower will accept any standard AR upper. That is not possible. The JAKL requires a proprietary buffer system on the lower, and it is still work in progress.
