In 1926, a photograph captured four notorious mobsters known as the Diamond Brothers gang, led by Jack "Legs" Diamond and including his brother Eddie, Thomas "Fatty" Walsh, and Salvatore "Lucky" Luciano. These individuals had significant influence in New York's criminal underworld, they had connections to Arnold Rothstein, a prominent crime figure during the 1920's

The photo was taken during a police lineup following an attempted robbery. Despite their notoriety, the gang faced conflicts, assassination attempts, and legal troubles. Eddie Diamond, in particular, led a tumultuous life marked by crime and illness, ultimately dying of tuberculosis in 1930.
